Perfect gift
I absolutely loved this booknook. I bought this to build and give to my grandma because she likes things made by us and ABSOLUTELY loves coffee.I will say that this nook took me longer to build than others but it was only because you have to paint some edges and I’m a perfectionist😂. But yes I’d definitely recommend this for people who love making things.

It comes with everything you need (including a tiny square of sandpaper) minus 2 AAA batteries. The directions are so thorough and well done (make sure you read the key in the front though or you may be a little confused to start). It was truly delightful to put together (took around 3 days for me). The hardest parts are fiddling around with the wires (they seem a little too long but are too fragile to cut and restrip), and snapping the outside covers on without breaking anything. This kit does require extensive gluing, though most of it snaps together. Be careful to use just barely enough, as excess will squidge out and leave a shiny residue. Other kits like this usually have very hard to follow instructions with confusing wording, but this was very simple and easy to follow. This kit came with more than enough glue which is surprising because most kits don't come with enough at all. We had so much fun assembling it and it looks so cute on the book shelf. We will definitely be buying from this company again.

But it's not terribly sturdy, and the final assembly definitely needed some glue to keep everything in place, rather than slotting in to the joints and staying there. The wiring was also a pain, I might invest in additional electrical tape to keep everything in place. But, once you can get the fiddliness under control, this is a lot of fun, and the final product inspires delight.

This was such a fun project. Everything worked well. You do have to be very careful not to break pieces as you are taking them out and assembling. Definitely get yourself some gel superglue and tweezers for the small stuff.

She got a bookend that was made like a library and I got this Magic Street bookend. This was a blast to put together. As mentioned. you do need to be careful taking out the pieces since they are made of thin wood. I did have one piece break on me which drove me crazy since I was being super carful. It was totally my fault for putting pressure on the wrong spot. However, it was easy to fix with glue and nobody will ever notice because of where it is placed and where it broke. Nonetheless, other than that, the directions were super easy to follow and the pieces were well marked and fit together perfectly. I had so much fun doing this, I will look for another to do in the near future. If Magic is a theme you enjoy, I recommend this as a fun craft.

Most of the larger pieces came warped causing me to have an extremely hard time getting this one together and snaping some pieces in the process. The qualify of wood isn't as great as some other ones. If you can spend the extra money, get cutebee. The quality of wood is much better, and things "click" together. This is my second book nook by this brand. I've done the train/Japanese tree one, and this cafe one. I also have the magic house one not done yet. After these are done, I won't be purchasing anymore from this brand.
